I am really disapointed from GpG & Stardock

Hello to all readers, except support, devs and publisher who completely ignore most of what is said in these forums and will probably never read this...

Well, until now i was quite happy with Stardock and Gas Powered Games products until.... Demigod.

It started quite bad as i have a SteelSeries 5hV2 Headset (USB soundCard) and the game doesn't work at all with it. This is very annoying as this sound device is just very good...

This was quite surprising for me as all other games i have are all working perfectly (Sins of Solar Empire and Supreme Commander and all others). So i went to the forums, tech support, and saw that i am not the only one concerned with this issue... Another customer posted that this problem was totally ignored by support, publisher and even devs... This is my first disappointment as i thought this was serious companies... As i said in the last post for this problem they could at least post an answer even if it they finally state that the concerned device is not supported and won't be... Lack of courtesy from all so cf web link...

Fortunately i reinstalled and reactivated my onboard sound device wich works with the game (even if i have to crouch to change jacks only for this game). So i thought that i may live with the game like this, but this was before playing as there are some sound problems. The death whispers persisting for unknown reason and covering all the sounds the game may play... So each time it happens i continue until i am uppset and then restart game to correct the problem for a moment (maybe devs are too many windows oriented as it is really close to some O.S. problems... shutdown and restart 0_o).

So, again, i thought i may live with it until they patch... lol... Hope keep us alive... Buuuut when i started to play on hard level i discovered the game is really bad balanced (i do not speak about lower diffculty levels as it is just ridiculous as it is easy to beat everything) as you'll soon see that no matter what you do or how you play, your teammates (AI) are just utter noobs... You will see that the opposing team is just levelling twice faster and many times even more... 0_o again. You'll see that the AI just makes that all enemies are rushing you (human player) while teammates are... well... buftying around in the map and come just to die... 0_0 ...

You'll noticed that even if the maps are quite small no decent path finding has been implemented what makes me laugh seriously about skills of the dev teams. I stopped to count how many times the controlled demigod start to twist in front of an edge of map (wich is the case on all maps...) lol... where are the testers ???? In Acapulco i think under sun shine at beach i suppose lol... I do not even talk about the space bar thing to change camera position as if you click at same time you'll be like the "Ancients" (say it with cavernous voice) somewhere in the void.. lol... Ok i stop about gameplay issues... Errr lack of testing and development... In the end i am glad that these companies are not working for the DoD because when the army will test a new missile in fort Bragg it will fall in Fayetteville lol...

Finally i stop to play it... I'll do like support, publisher, devs and ignore this completely. Unfortunately for me i bought the game before going on holiday and now i cant go to the shop to change this game for another one as i haven't kept the ticket 0_0... In the same way i think i'll avoid... Errr... ignore from now GpG and Stardock products as i did with Ubisoft for same reasons : support completely inexistent and bugged/unfinihsed games..

I am really disapointed as the reputation of these companies are now ruined for me... A shame guys as it started well... and you could not keep it up...

Your first post here was a week ago. Have you emailed [email protected]? Support personnel visit the forums, but they are not an official venue.

If you're having issues with a particular piece of hardware though and it's not a simple matter of drivers, it is likely something GPG needs to address.

The AI does get various bonuses on higher levels to try to provide a challenge (the opponents more so than your teammates on the highest level). As Demigod is a primarily multiplayer game, you'd be better served in online play if you find the AI lacking.

I'm ganna have to go ahead and say that the OP = FAIL atm.

Half of that post was about a hardware problem that could happen in any game.

The other half was a jumbled mess. Seems like you just got all upset and then decided to post some random stuff. Because reading what you wrote shows that you don't know a whole lot about the game or whats been going on or whats coming up.

Im with the OP. Except for the hardware thread.

Pathfinding is horrible, there are balance or tweak that can be made (since release only erebus got a balance patch???)

Also dont blame stardock on this. I think its purely GPG fault.

Its true it looked like they never tryed to play the Unclean beast on cataract and trying to attack an ennemy when they run around a corner.

The OP guy was only describing his problem.

Some are maybe not GPG/SD fault be there are some issue that are.

Anyway why give shit to someone who is askingg for help?

Im not that particularly good in english but after reading this post, yes the OP is not happy and hes asking for help.

I think the embecile are the one saying "BYE" or "another noob who left"  to him because if you say bye to everyone the game is gona die and youre all gona be alone.

So be kind, more people = more fun.  Same as less bug = more fun.

No, he wasn't. He was complaining about a problem without attempting to solve his issue thorougly. It's annoying to have problems, anyone would agree, however posting threads on the forum which can be summised with the words "not happy" that reach into the 700 word count is very unconstructive and will most likely be greated as such. He could have correctly detailed his issue and asked for assistance. He didn't. As a non-subscription based game, people don't 'quit' Demigod, they uninstall it. He is currently within the refund window and this entire thread reads like someone who merely wanted an avenue to complain and hoped that he would create enough noise to have someone magically solve his issue for him to make him be quiet. The mentality of "game is teh failz, account cancelled" is a carry over from MMO games, such as World of Warcraft, and has no place here.

Not once in his rant did he ask for assistance. He complained. He even pointed out that he received no answers from the Technical Support forum - keep in mind no direct support is provided through the forums and that you need to contact Stardock via email. The forum is an avenue for players to help one another.

I agree a nice community is needed, however people who spend more time complaining about their issues than solving them a good community makes not.
