Xeno Ethics and Minor races

If one gives/trades Xeno Ethics to Minor races, do they choose an alignment?

If one were playing in a galaxy with a lot of minor races (and maybe fewer major races), this could be a useful tactic.  That is, if Minor races all go to some default alignment, then giving/trading them all Xeno Ethics and Trade might actually make building that alignment Temple worth the trouble!

they pick their own

I know the snarthi go evil 85% of the time (they've gone goood once and netrual twice)

never paid as much attention to others, just know they pick what they want

Is that TA or DA?  Both?  I play DA.

Per the wiki:

- Akilians - neutral

- Andians - neutral

- Carinoids - neutral

- Dark Yor - evil

- Jessuins - neutral

- Paulos - neutral

- Snathi - evil

- Scottinglas - neutral

So, if the wiki holds true and especially if the minors do not include the Snathi and Dark Yor, it might be that giving the minors the ethics research might be worthwhile if one also were neutral and built the neutral temple.  But, you say the Snathi have been seen to go other than evil?  That would make it less attractive.
