Thanksgiving, by Jacob.

Being thankful is nice and a good thing to do.  Here are some things I appreciate.  I'm thankful for my family, my friends and a free country.

I think my family is great.  My hole family is nice.  My cosens and I play together.  All the people in my family like me.

Another thing is I am thankful for my friends.  We all play together.  Everyone is smart.  My friends and I share secrets.

I believe in a free country.  Everyone in the country can choose for themselves.  Freedom is a wonderful thing.  It is nice to be able to go where we want without restrictions.

These are some things I am thankful for and I'm thankful for a lot of other stuff.

That's going to suck if you have to take him off the meds....your husband was telling me how bad he was before he got put on them. Caught between a rock and a hard spot, huh? I'm sorry....

Yeah. I guess if this keeps up, we can always try him on another medication. He is just doing so well. I try to feed him as much as he wants around 8 pm because by then usually the medication has worn off. I haven't given up yet.

Oh I'm sorry - Maybe Santa will bring you some. Elana likes vegemite too, she eats small amounts and gets it everywhere.
Yes please i believe I just might be interested - It's always amused me watching American thanksgiving specials.

What's he on now?  Jake's on Concerta....apparently it has the lowest appetite supression rate.

I try and make sure Jake has a big ol' breakfast before he takes his meds.  That's not always the easiet thing to do, because he's never been a big breakfast eater.  His meds usually wear off around 5 or 6 pm, which is right around our suppertime anyway...and then I let him snack through the evening.

I know you haven't given up hope....and i have a feeling that you never will.  Just doesn't seem like you, to me...

Joshua is on Adderall XR. He takes one a day because it is time released. He takes a very high dosage for his age. Unfortunately, his ADHD is categorized as "severe." He also has a bit of Aspberger's Syndrome which is a highly functioning form of Autism. Bill Gates and a few other people have this as well. I had never even heard of it until Joshua was in kindergarten. His teacher sent a book about it home. Sure enough, she was right.

Good for you! That is exactly what I try to do for Joshua as well. And you are so right! I never give up. I am probably one of the most stubborn people you will ever meet....sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Me too.  I don't waver very often.  Adderall...I read about that.  I haven't read about Aspberger's syndrome though.   think I'll go and read about that right now....

Well, I'm sure Jake is in bed by now, but happy Thanksgiving nevertheless. I hope you are ready for my favorite part of Thanksgiving...the leftovers! Turkey sandwiches...YUM!

Just a silly question for all those in the know...What exactly IS vegimite? I associate it with Australia, but I'm not sure what it is. Is it like SPAM?

It's a yeast extract that you spread on bread.  It has a beefy, salty unique taste that you cannot describe.  It's black/very dark brown in color...and i wish I knew where to get some around here!!!

How are you feeling, btw?  When does your husband have to leave again?

Ugh spam - no it's not like spam yuck -- that's got to be the worst thing to come from a tin

Vegemite is full of good things, Australias richest source of vitamin b and it puts a rose in every cheek

Leftovers of turkey sandwiches do sound great - that's my favourite thing of pork roasts (All roasts) - sandwiches with applesauce and gravy mmm. Or warmed up in the nuke with tomato sauce if theres no applesauce/or gravy

Yes lifehappens how ARE you feeling? Has she changed alot in 4 days? (what's 19inches in cm?)
