Is is possible to give Cruisers names like Capital Ships?
No. As far as I understand, the only "units" that can be named is Capital Ships, Planets, and Star Bases.
you could create a capital ship based on the stats of the kodiak crusiers
You can also edit the name on the infocard to include the Name you want, such as
"Ticonderoga Cruiser" or whatever. The name is in the string file.
