Chaning interstallar phase lanes

Hi All,

Sorry if this is a repeat question, I did a couple searches here in the forum and didn't find the answer...

The one thing I always disliked (a personal thing, I don't want to start a debate on the pros and cons B) ) was that the interstallar phase lanes always went from star to star.  To me, I would like to see them go from the most outlying planet in each system to other outlying planets in other systems.

Has the star-to-star default changed with Entrenchment or is there a mod that allows you to create these phase lanes from planet to planet without manually creating wormholes between every system.

nice idea, but i don't think it would work. also, the most outlying  might not be the closest, or vice versa. so it would be pretty hard to get it that way from a mechanical stanpoint.

I can't give an answer, maybe you could endow a regular planet with a wormhole tag or sth, but it sounds like something that requires more enhanced modding, if it is even possible by non-devs. but I'd like to bring up something related ( ie I do some threadjacking)

is it possible to have dedicated star to star connections (again)? in some beta, there were phase lines even between stars, so you could not jump from any star to any other, but just to some specific ones. if that were possible, I'd like to play around a bit, such as to create a more freespace like gameplay (bc the wormhole option is a bit cumbersome and gets confusing due to the lack of lines). I mean, since it was there already, it might be possible to reactivate it without too much hassle.

bc for example I recently stared a game on vonruks labyrinth and it's really tough to play with suns and wormholes all over the place. taking the idea of just a handful of places in imminent danger (though more attackable through deep strikes and bypasses) that forms the core of phase lines to the interstellar level would be pretty neat for me. it's better with entrenchment, but you just cannot build sbs at every entrypoint, at least not moderately effective ones.

From my experience with the latest version of Galaxy Forge you are able to link planets in one solar system with planets in another solar system with the normal phase lanes. You do not need to use wormholes or jump from star to star. Just add a phase lane from whatever planet in System A to whatever planet in System B and it should work fine. (By the way, if you select one planet and hold down CTRL then click on another it will make a phase lane. Its faster than right clicking, just in case you didn't know. Took me a while before I figured that one out)

 

I've done this on a few maps I've made, but sometimes I preferr wormholes to create a sort of "peace time" or force people to face off in a small galaxy, until they get wormhole technology and can expand where their opponents might not be able to. =)
