Game self minimizes and laggs everyone else ingame

I've been having this problem lately with the game Demigod, it tends to (by itself and i know that since my g11 keyboard has a windows key lock lol) alt tab itself to my desktop then refuses to respond. Under the processes it says program not responding but then in about 1 minute after that it'll come back up by itself and resume the game, assuming that everyone else online hasnt yet left... This happens about every 15 minutes and it's quiet annoying. I know it isnt a hardware problem thats for damn sure. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm running windows 7 rtm 6 gigz of ram duo core 2.66 and geforce 8600 gts

Are you sure you don't have another app running that's stealing focus?

yeah pretty sure i even tried killing the majority of my programs i usually have running in the background such as windows live messenger aim ventrilo even my anti virus
