Dream files in Windows Ultimate DreamScene

I sure won't pay for StarDock's version when I have it for free now

I like some of the dreams on WinCustomize, but I won't pay a penny for DreamScapes when I already have Windows Ultimate SP1 64-bit and its DreamScene.  A means of playing the Dream file in DreamScene would be helpful.  I know that artists might be concerned they would loose information on copyrights and license.  But all they have to do is make a ZIP with that data as text files inside the ZIP.  Just don't forget the TXT extension on those file.  I have seen some zipped themes and stuff which included files like "README" rather than "README.txt".  You have to rename those files to open them.

You can download version 1.02 free since you have Vista Ultimate and run all except the master dreams. If you had have put some energy into finding it and reading details instead of ranting about costs you would have had it ages ago and been up and running.

You don't have to buy it. There's a free version for Vista Ultimate users that can be downloaded from here. It will play all of the dreams that are availible  for download in the gallery.

Since you are a Stardock customer, you can download all of the dreams in the gallery except master skins for free.

Edit...I need to learn to type faster. ;)

Well, after what you two wrote, I downloaded the 1.02 version for Vista Ultimate, but it broke my patched theme DLLs.  VistaGlazz has been unable to fix the problem by repatching due to it thinking that my system needs a reboot.  At this point, I figure that Deskscapes has forfeit.  I can think of no reason for it to play with those DLLs other than to force users who patch their theme DLLs to use Window Blinds.

Patching dlls always has it's own risks.  Stardock products are designed to run with the shipped Windows.

Deskscapes will not have touched your patched theme dlls, most likely they got broken due to some sort of Windows Update.
