Please help a newbie - Is this correct for favor items, or is it broken?

I purchased this game yesterday, and it is patched to version 1.1

I was under the impression that when you purchase a favor item then you can select it in further games for free.  However that doesn't seem to happen.  This is an example of what happens for me:

I have 200 favor points, and I purchase a favor item for 150 favor points (leaving 50 points).  At the end of the game I get awarded 75 points.  I then start a new game, and when I do I have 125 points (200 original + 75 awarded, - 150 for previous favor item).  However if I want the item I brought in the last round it still costs 150 points - IE I can't purchase it anymore because I only have 125 points.

Basically it means I can only purchase a favor item once every two or three fights, and when I do they can only be the cheapest ones.  This happens on both single player and multiplayer.  Is this supposed to be how it works, or is it broken for me?  If it is broken, is there any way I can fix it?

Broken. Sometimes it refunds you, sometimes it doesn't. Dunno of a fix.

thats really weird ... i no sometimes it actually takes favor points away ... but majority of the time it stacks on to my other favor points.

my suggestion is to NOT to buy a favor item  unti you have accumilated 800 points or so.

the bug will get fix in a patch next week, july 7th.

looks like frogboy's post from end of june says they are working on it, hopefully gpg has a new patch out within next couple of days

Anyone else still having problems post patch?  At least as far as favor goes, it seems to have done nothing for me.  I'm having the same glitches as I was before (offline favor is working as the OP described for me, and online favor isn't charging me at all for favor items or saving the ones I have bought)

Not sure how they're so completely unable to fix this.  Every patch has an attempt to solve the problem but it never seems to work...

Basically you just go into on e of the files and put what you want in favor points. You can max it out at 9999 or put it at what you want. Kinda sucks but  its better than resetting every time you play single player. Good for getting a feel for the favor items and what works with your DG as well.

That's single player only.  Does nothing to online points.

Even though online sometimes seems to reset and the item you purchased is not saved, you get the favor back. Only in single player i think is when your favor is used up and you lose the favor item.
