2 player by direct link - no internet

Hello,

I would like to play Sins of a solar empire with a friend that has no internet connection. I was planning on installing 2 purchased copies of Sins on 2 laptops at my home (that has internet, to download the game and patches), bring them to his place, and link the two laptops with an ethernet cable.

Is it possible ? If yes would anyone be so kind as to provide a procedure ?

Yes!  Its possible.  Its easy.  You can even do it with a single purchased copy on 2 computers!

Just chose "Multi Player" on the opening screen (after you've hooked up the 2 computers by LAN).  Then create a "New Game", then have the other computer "Join Game".  That's it.

just remember to use a crossover cable to connect your PCs. Normal ethernet cables won't work if you don't use a router/switch
