open msconfig and disable and on the services tab check hide microsoft service and disable the rest... then go to the start up tab and disable all the start up items and then renable one at a time and reboot until you find the issue.  this was suggested to me about the NVIDIA display driver service.

This may be a stupid question...are you actually running Windows 7? RC or beta?

AS far as I know...there isnt any reason to run WB 7 on Vista or XP.

What money did you waste on what upgrade? This is a BETA for OD subscribers to try free at their own risk.

Your computer has a pretty low Windows Experience Index and Windows Graphics Experience scores. Were you running WB on Vista before installing Windows 7 and did it work ok?

It is offered as an upgrade to windowblind 6 subscribers for $9.99.  and yes it worked fine on Vista.

I would try uninstalling WB7 through Impulse, reboot, disable any AV/Spyware apps you have running and reinstall WB7,reboot again, and recheck it.  Just wondering, have you moved your skins from the default location in C/Public Documents/Stardock/Windowblinds?

yes but...

System Requirements
● Windows XP (32 bit)/Server 2003/Vista
● Minimum screen resolution: 1024 width and 768 height
● 60MB free drive space
● 256MB RAM

End of quote

the system requirements have not changed yet because....

WindowBlinds 7 is currently in BETA, to be released with Object Desktop 2010 later this year. WindowBlinds 7 adds support for Windows 7 as well as many more cool features coming soon!

from the WB7 upgrade page

Windows7RC is still basically a beta they think is about ready

WB7 is still a beta

you have not yet wasted any money until (1) both are full release versions and (2) WB 7 doesn't work at that time
