GalCiv II dread lords' transports

iv got a question about this game,my transports wont attack izith or ixith or wutever (second mission in campaign) or makemender,however u spell those,ive conquered one planet before,siloth,but now they just stop next to the planets and do nothing,ive got all the tech stuff and even enough tech to have a fleet of 4 transports all loaded up with 1k units,so what do i do???

Dumb question maybe, but are you sure you're using troop transports and not colony ships?

A transport will not attack if the target planet has a ship in orbit.  You must destroy these ships first...sounds like your problem.
