R/A now costs resources???

I stopped playing for a few months earlier this year. Prior to my few months hiatus, ships were free aside from antimatter cost in terms of RA.

I come back from my little hiatus and now ships cost money to deliver via RA? what kind of BS is this? It destroys the whole point of RA - I might as well just build ships instead.

Basically Devs like to nerf so no one uses it. So no one uses RA anymore. Same goes with subs

Wait, explain the first part.... "devs like to nerf"?

what does that mean? lol.

EDIT: nevermind, i understand what you mean. But why would they nerf it in that way? I mean, now its USELESS. I'm not going to pay a shit ton of resources so i can have the ability to PAY FOR SHIPS. thats STUPID.

The ships you get from RA are much cheaper than if you were to build them. You still pay for them, just a lot less.

It was a complete and total abuse when people would just scuttle the units that RA gave them for money, basically allowing you to use phase stabilizers as extra trade ports.  RA can still be used to raise a pretty substantial army at a low cost very quickly, but it's a much later game feature.

It's certainly not in the "useless" bin of upgrades.  There still remain several upgrades which are absolutely or borderline useless because they cost so much to bring out and have so little effect that there's never a practical reason to invest in them.  RA is not something you rush for anymore, but it's still good!

I guess so. That was really the whole appeal of vasari for me - now that's kind of diminished.
