First, VD is not supported in Win7.  Your miliage may vary.

Second, Impulse?

This has been reported a few times with the beta release of Virtual Desktops in Impulse.  The non-beta should be fine.  Impulse Orb > uncheck "Show pre-release versions" should do the trick.

This may be a bigger issue than the MD5s.  I'm pretty sure that Virtual Desktops doesn't like the new Win7 taskbar too much.
