ive been playing for some time now and ive been getig into moding my games but i cant find the appfolder that the moding folder should be in. i have vista i have figured out most of what i have to do but i have no idea how to get to the folder. and when i start the game there is no mod option in any menu. please help?
assuming you have sins 1.17/entrenchment 1.03, the galaxy forge maps NEED to be placed here for xp
C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\
or here for vista/windows 7
C:\Users\'user name'\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\
NOTE the first two folders after the 'user name' are hidden , so to see them you must first click on 'tools' then 'folder options', then 'view', then click on 'show hidden files& folders' then click ok, then you will be able to browse your want to the folder. I suggest when you find the folder that you create a shortcut to it on the desktop

ive unlocked the hidden files and ive gotten to C:\Users\'user name'\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\
now what do i do from there? there is no mods folder would i creat one?
have you run sins & /or entrenchment? they should CREATE the nesacary mods -v1.17 for sins 1.17 and mods entrenchment v1.03 for entrenchment when they are first run
