Game crashes with 'internet' option of multiplayer

So I can consistently play 1/3 of this game. Single player.. Which sucks in all aspects of single player games.

Multiplayer however is awesome.. and I can access lan and ALL other aspects of this game but as soon as I click the 'internet' option under multiplayer the game crashes or stops responding for long periods of time. I also have the randomly unfortunate problem where the game crashes while trying to load a multiplayer map on a multiplayer game. My connection is amazing and always have high pings and sim speeds between 7--10 with the highest settings. I have windows xp 64 bit and beautiful specs.
I have never before had a problem with any online games.

and this should really be fixed in an emergency patch. Browsing this forums i see a lot of new posts about problems with the multiplayer aspect of this game. It's a multiplayer game and these problems seriously take away from the value/price ratio here.

connectivity is one thing, lag is another. But random game crashes without explanation or reliable fixes.. Thats bad all over.

Part of the issue may spawn from running on an unsupported OS.

 

Minimum Requirement:

  • Windows XP SP3 (32-Bit Only) / Vista SP1 (32- or 64-Bit)

I'm playing under Win XP HE.

This morning everything was ok but now when i click internet games, the game hang and i need a hard reset. I didn't do anything with options, installing soft etc. It just happened
