The last poll on WinCustomize asked if you were planning on purchasing a new PC this year.  With Windows 7 just around the corner, people might be holding off until later this year to grab a new PC with Win7 installed already.  A great number of you said no, you won’t be purchasing a new PC, but quite a few of you did say you will purchase, or at least a “maybe”.

Since summer is here, this week we ask what you would like to see on WinCustomize this summer.  Community projects, contests, more skins, more content?  Let us know!

At times it is hard to answer the poll questions. 

I voted for just more skins, and by that I mean the subscriber skins that have slowed down coming out.  I understand that things do get busy but subscriber skins are what I think most folks would like to see.  Some skins have come out but I'm not sure at the rate that was once stated.  I could be wrong, may be confusing this with Object Desktop subscribers, and if so I apologize.

The members pretty much take care of coming up with Community Projects and an everyother year GUIC is good.  I didn't understand what more articles and content meant.

As for the previous poll about purchasing a PC, those that all ready did, like myself, could only answer no.

i tell ya one thing i'd like to see is wallpapers that are good make it into the gallery...my little sister uploaded 2 walls that i know for a fac t someone would want , but there they went into her personal page where no-one will ever see it and its lost forever....she was really discouraged by this....i have seen walls that are hideous in the gallery compared to hers...please make this change...for people just coming into the skinning world this is a BIG let down for them....especially when the walls are GOOD...thanx i hope someone important reads this and does something about it

That's right, I was kind of out of it for a few months and I know about the GUI Championships. I am talking about contests we had when members of the community put up prize money or Skin of the year where people nominated skins for the competition.

How about more significant UPDATES for all the applications in Object Desktop Ultimate? There's enough skins to "skin" the world! Why not gather all resources and stimulate developments and updates for all existing softwares. Some of them rarely get anything substantial in updates. All the emphasis is on skinning. How about temporarily "shifting" the focus on updates for: ObjectBar, RightClick, DesktopX, and so on... I'd rather see things get quiet for skinning contests and the like and see strong output for updates... I certainly do appreciate all that is done - no doubt. However, I thought that maybe I could offer my thought on this aspect. Hope that's OK...
