Ivalid stardock.net account when updating

from Demigod Forums

I changed my name on here to demigov and when  I go to the multiplayer on demigod it says there is an update. Then it opens the impulse thing and tries to update. Then it gives me the error msg that there is not stardock.net account with my old name before I used demigov.

What do i do?

Click the Impulse orb in the top left and select change login. You can just use your email for it so that it won't happen again if you change it.

and now it works if I change my username back to the old one on these forums...

I don't want to switch usernames everytime I need to update.

can't it just go by my serial number or something when validating instead of checking if that username still exists?

the impulse console doesn't even have a spot I can tell it that my new username is demigov

Start Impulse. Let it give you the login error and it'll stay offline. Click on the Impulse logo in the top left, and go to "Change Login". Put in your email or the new nickname and the password.

oh I got it to work now.

I had to change my username in my account profile linked at the top of the forums here.

Then it let me log in with that new username 'demigov' in the Impulse console. Cool beans.
