Start Menu Icon

When clicking on the startmenu icon, it 'crashes' with an error - Start Menu Helper file was injected...tried reinstalling ObjectDock but did not resolve.

Any suggestions?

It is a COOOL product, well designed, very logical and certainly fun to replace the boring task bar that Microsoft provides on XP/Vista/Win7....

object dock free version or plus version?

 

though it may not matter.  start menu helper injected problem has been known for a while and last I saw was being worked on for version 2.0 - it doesn't affect everyone - I use the free version of ODock, never had an issue except for where the menu shows up - I want it to show up where it normally does

various things people have said helped:

try updating through impulse

change your start menu to classic, try the docklet, put the menu back, try the docklet

or utilize the options of:

copy to notepad:


set wShell=wscript.createobject("wscript.shell")
wShell.sendkeys "^{ESC}"


save as a .vbs (like start.vbs) point a shortcut to it
