IMproved performance

Ok I do not know why people try and play this game when they hover at -1 to 2.

If you are one of those here are a few tips to get better performance.

1 - play in window mode - this can be done duren a game or in menu option sceeen- goto video > resolution tab > window mode

2 - play with sound off - make a short cut of demi god - right click to properties > in the target box at the end of the line after " and make sure you put a space there and type /nosound (no space between no and sound)

3 - put all the settens on low

4 - get rivatuner and max fan speed and over clock ur video card a little not to maxed.

 

Also when someone in game tells you tis same stuff dont get all upty about it cause it is you that is causen the problems.

If all else fails and this does not work go upgrade your pc instead of playen a game 1/2 assed

It can depend on the game actually.  I guess I can't really tell with this game since it runs great either way for me, but when I was playing Warhammer Online I saw many people who said they had much better performance results when using windowed mode instead of fullscreen.

5. play on smaller maps.  Prison map has the best performance.  So stick to that map, you can still play 5v5 on prison and it'll be fun.

6. play with less people.  As with the maps, pay attention to your simspeed.  Your simspeed should never be lower than 1.  So play a few games to see how many people you can play with before you start to go -1 in simspeed.

how can you tell its hardware and not connectivity?

the games always felt like a very effective coding to me leading to quite low requirements and possibilty to turn settings down low for those with slow computers.

but i would like to learn how to reqognize when oponents pull the game down with their "computers"

Windowed mode is usually going to increase performance because it is usually going to be a lower resolution.

The same resolution windowed vs fullscreen will probably be better in full screen mode.

You should definitely try lowering your resolution no matter if you run full screen or windowed if you're having performance issues.

I remeber on my laptop when I used windowed mode my fps from 19ish to 25ish so I could play games smoothly. Just make sure your game is actually windowed into a smaller box instead of putting it in windowed mode, and then maximizing the window as that wont really help much.
