Blade of the serpent

Tweak/Nerf

There is an issue right now with the power level of the blade of the serpent favor item returning the ammount of mana that it does, due to the fact the ammount of dps assassin characters can output allows this item to provide a full (or close to full) return to the mp bar of any assassin character, at any level, every 45 seconds as long as they are in combat. 75% seems a bit much without some sort of max mp limitation.

The biggest issue by far with this item though is that it returns damage from skills (not just auto attack) like mines and rain of ice, which are gauranteed to completely restore the mana of any character if used against a creep wave.

While I don't necessarily want to remove the item because it is somewhat unique, in it's current state it is outright broken, and it might be better if this did not work with skills and returned a smaller portion of mp and/or hp or possessed some sort of limitation (like returning at most 50% of max mp).

Thoughts on this?

Its not broken.  Favor items are an irrevocable choice of how you will play.

Its quite good, however, consider how much better the teleport thing is to get around for map control or the anklet is to go flitting from place to place faster.

And as an fyi, The cape of plentiful mana + heart of life can instantly refill even large mana bars (even if the life refill gets interuptted with the next attack )

And the Cape gives it as an AURA so your teamates can benefit as well.. Now imagine a twosome how took that and the health aura with the heart of life and you see the Power that gods can aspire too.

None of the favor items are OP.  They modify how you play the game.  They are ment to be the Uber items that you can take to every game for free.  Only time their OP is when someone can get a good one and the other person hasn't played enough to have any.

Yeah you're right. I just tested mines, and it doesn't work. They don't display damage numbers when they explode and so don't return any mp. Very odd. Doesn't work with towers either. It does work with Structural transfer and all other abilities that display damage either over time or upon striking the target.
