Epic comeback

Congratulations man.

I really wish this game had a better replay system so I could see it.

I saved the 'lastgame' file as something else so it won't get written over...if there is an easy way to make that file youtube-able I'd gladly put it up there.

I assume that a combination of this site (http://www.gamereplays.org/community/index.php?showtopic=405375) and fraps might do the trick.

That said, I've never tried replays myself and have heard it doesn't work too well.  Good luck!

Argh...I got the replay to work through gamereplys once but now everytime I play it it locks up at the same place (round the 7 min mark).

Great Story! It shows that demigod is quite well balanced and fun.

Reminds me of a 1v1 I had as a Regulus vs Rook. Majorly loosing all game, buy a Ashkandor. Total ownage and push back into enemy base and finally win while my last fortress was on < 1000hp.

 

Reminds me of my greatest comeback, which happened today as well. 2 Erebus against a Rook and an Oak, the R&O combination ended up being 5+ levels ahead of us. It was thanks to some great flag capping and some fancy footwork that we ended up just inching them out on warscore, buy catipults, and cap their portal. We ended up having cats destroy their citadel just while they were going apeshit on ours. I swear, I've never stalled so well in my life. And my ally did some great capping of the enemy portal(just had to tell him where the the blindspot of the towers in crucible was, and he was good to go).

I had an even epiKer victory earlier. It was 3vs3 and I thought we were doomed to start with. It was Sedna, QoT, and UB on the enemy team vs UB (me) Reg, and Ereb. Sure enough, the other side dominated the kills because there was little we could do to combat the multi heal/shield combo. They shielded and focussed their healing on the UB as he did most of the damage. Killed all of us a bunch of times. One of our allies (the Reg) quit the game and then the Ereb and I thought we were finished as the AI did it's usual gold feed. The 3 eventually started to make a push on our citadel, but they weren't paying attention to me sneaking around the back (the map was Leviathan) and I had been attacking their towers for a bit. I took a few down and made a slight path into their base. At this point, both sides upgraded to catapults at the same time but because they had been fed so much (especially by the AI) they had much better gear equipped.

Again they were too focussed on our citadel while the Ereb was distracting them at the base, I snuck further in and destroyed even more towers. Then BAM, I got to their base portals and captured them. The Ereb immediately warped next to me and helped me take the other portal. At this point, the opposing team realized they were in trouble as they hadn't even pushed past the first fortress yet and I had already destroyed most of their defense towers and the fortress in front. They all warped back, but it was too late as our minions had already begun to swarm the citadel and it was doomed. It was SUCH an epic comeback, I saved the gamefile myself if the day ever comes for replays to be viewed.

A quick recap;

Forces of darkness; Qot, Sedna, UB.

Forces of light; Ereb, UB, Reg.

Reg quits about halfway through giving the dark team free gold/exp and effectively making the match 2vs3.

Dark side continues to dominate in the kills/gold because of braindead AI and the fact that they have 2 support demis in the game.

Dark side was too focussed on pushing through the gates they weren't watching me sneaking around the back.

By the time they realized what was going on, it was too late.

Hilarity ensued.

 

Yeah, that program thingy doesn't work. It might be a vista 64 issue, but everytime I browse the computer for the file to use (when I try to use "open with" for the replay file) windows refuses to recognize the replay viewer as a file so it's impossible to make it open it at all.

Impressive win! Me and a guy had a similar victory, its always fun to be able to recover and push back and actually win! We beat a team in Dominate on Prison 10000 points to like 9500

Your enemy team was silly. They should realise that they have 3 fortress left and should rush the last fortress and force you to defence. By going back to defence they gave you chance for a comeback.

Tonight I had one myself, playing as UB on Exile 4v4. They have us pushed all the way back to our citadel, all flags capped and with giants. We are stuck on warrank 9 stopping us from getting giants of our own, so we really need to cap some flags. Its 3vs3 at this time cause both teams lost a player.

We are locked in our base for like 7-8 minutes just defending against the hordes, taking turns runing to the crystal. They have a queen shielding, making it hard to break out or kill any of them, but we finally get the queen downed and I make a run for it, with 2 of them chasing me all over the map. They keep right on my tail so I cant cap any flags, but its working out fine because my teammate uses this opening to cap two flags and after 3-4minutes we get rank 10 + giants.

They push us back to the citadel again, and at this time another member of my team decides to quit making it a 3vs2. The fight at our base is a bit more even now that we have giants, and I get a few kills in while doing som massive farming with post mortem and Ooze giving me Ashkandor besides the Mageslayer alrdy in my inv. I start pushing a wave of creeps towards their base doing some nice xp+gold farming along the way, while my last teammate defends our base with the 2 AIs. Some of the opponents tries to kill me off, but with the combo of ooze, 32% lifesteal, massive dmg+crit and hp-regen I have at this point I just eat them up for even more gold.

When I got enough for Bulwark of the ages; 25% less dmg + health/armor/regen, i pretty much became invincible even in 2vs1 matchups against queen shielder + oak. Hacking on oak with shield still "steals" life, so I just kept bashing on him through the shield till it wore of and ate him up We pushed to their citadel and I even got to put on fathers ring, making it possible to stand at their crystal and kill them 1 after the other with 2-3 of them hitting me. The game ended shortly after that with me scoring around 1.1million dmg

That was the most fun and exciting match Ive played yet! Thanks to Morrog_le_furieux, my last teammate, for staying
