can't update to windowblinds 6.4

from Stardock Forums

Hi all, I recently installed vista x64 then downloaded windowblinds through impulse which installed 6.3. After running the update impulse showed that I had 6.4 installed however i still have 6.3.

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC

(Generic PnP Monitor) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285

I've uninstalled, and run ccleaner and reinstalled numerous times but 6.4 just won't happen. Is this a vista x64 compatibility problem or do I need to purchase 6.4? (I only have a month left of my subscription so i won't be broken hearted if I do).

I had your same problem with many programs...you don't need the purchase 6.4 if you buy a stand-alone copy of WB

You can try these thing:

Impulse-Preferences-Reset Data

Fix the registration http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/fix_registrations.reg re-login and re-apply the update

Close your firewall and try to apply the update

Don't transcribe the files in pubblic\documents\windowblinds if you want recovery the old skins...move only the folders of the skins

If the problem don't resolve i suggest you to open a ticket with stardock support :-)

Looks like there may be an issue updating WindowBlinds for people who bought the base Object Desktop (i.e. not Ultimate).  The Issue is server side and is being address.
