Problem with Size of Search Bar

Hi,

I am fairly new to the Wincustomize world and dont know if the problem i'm having is a known issue or not.

I recently installed "WindowBlinds v6" and downloaded a few Visual Styles from the Wincustomize website.  I have had no problems with the application itself or with the styles themselves, but I when I open the browser (Iexplorer v8) at homepage google, the search bar and the search box are soooo small I need the magnifier to read what I have typed.

Is there some setting i need to adjust to change this or is this a known issue?

I am running Windows XP Professional with service pack 3 and Internet explorer 8. I am also running a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 if this could be of any help.

Please help me out as I very much enjoy using the software and I would like to give cudos to the skinners out there.. great work guys :)

Open the Windowblinds Configuration panel, choose the System Info tab, click the copy text button and paste the text into a reply.

I had the same problem too ( WB 6 et al)  ... I solved it by using the Compatability Button on the very top bar ..

~ it allows you to view pages as they are in previous versions ...

Incidentally , I also use Safari and Google showed  up ok .. it was just IE8 that had the prob ..

Read this ..it might help ...

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/features/enhanced-navigation.aspx

you can make IE8 remember what pages to do this too .. Hope that helps ..

( after trying IE8 out I found it was a bit messy for me .. and uninstalled it in the control panel ..so I am using IE7, Safari , and Deepnet Explorer )

I do not think it is a WB issue ..  anyway , you can always try the Compatabilty button ..O:)

Hey,

Thanx for the compatibility tip, but iexplore does not give me the option when at google... I will definitely give it a try if I find that other websites also give me the text box problem.

Here is my sys info:

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.1 (build 55 x86)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC
Your machine does not support per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

This is because :

Your computer graphics hardware does not support acceleration of per pixel alpha.  WindowBlinds requires this for per pixel alphablended borders as without it performance would be poor.  Please see if you can obtain new drivers for your graphics hardware.  Recent ATI & NVIDIA boards should support this feature.  Onboard graphics tend not to.

That issue has been fixed in the most current version of Windowblinds (6.4) If you purchase a legal copy you can install it via Impulse.

1. Open Notepad, type

INPUT {
font-size: 10pt;
}

Save it as "ie8.css"

2. Go to Internet Options > General tab > Accessibility button

3. Check Format documents using my style sheet and select the ie8.css file

Done!
