Are the devs still alive? + music actionlevel/range theorizing

Firstly has anyone actually seen any dev activity or presence lately? I've been reading lots of improvement suggestions but they seem to be garnering no response and I'm wondering whether anyone has any info about what the devs position is on the modding community?

Now onto my main question... which relates to the devs because I'm seeking some explanation on how the music system works:

1) Devs.. can we get an-ingame counter that shows current actionLevel/EmtionLevel values? Similar to how some games let you hit CTRL-F and see your frame rate per second... an on-screen counter showing levels would be very helpful.

2) Has anyone figured out how the following works?

ActionRange
EmotionLevel
EmotionRange

I suspect the following:

a) that the game "considers" your race-configured music tracks first, but keeps a record of recently played songs so that it doesn't repeat them. If you don't define enough race-configured music the game will use the built-in ones. The question I am wondering is: if so, how many songs will it "remember" to avoid repeats?

ActionLevel I *think* means the number of mouse clicks/key-presses you are doing.

c) EmotionLevel I *think* means the number of craft destroyed, with your craft going negative and enemy craft going positive. I think the game tracks this as a moving average that is specific to each gravitiy well.

d) ActionRange/EmotionRange I think are positive range values. So if you set your actionLevel as 0.25... then an actionRange of 0.5 will match any actionlevel between 0.25 and 0.75.

e) When choosing what music to play... I think the game calculates a list of all songs that match based on current Actionlevel and Emotionlevel values (which is why I'm asking the devs for an on-screen display that can be toggled with say CTRL+SHIFT-M or something).

Anyone else have ideas?
