Clan Wars, You Upto The Challenge?

As you May know, There are only a few clans on Sins of the Solar Empire at this moment in time, usally the clans BIA and DT have always consistaly battled it out for the number one spot of sins.

However it is now time for more people to join in the fun...

What I am proposing is a torunment which consists of all clans in SOASE to fight it out in the competition to see who is the best of them all. Dont forget [_] BIA and  [DT] Dream Team are beatable, so if you think your clan has the best team around, lets see it happen.

What You Need to Know?

A Clan or a group of mates willing to partcipate in the clan wars competition. You MUST have a tag within your name to show people you are part of that Clan or group. You will need five players mininim or more to enter in the competion. If you want to enter this compettion but do not want to join a clan, you can join a people of five and use [H then group name -then ur Name] h = means honourably member...so [H-Kickass-John21]- just a suggestion :)

^^ All Players need to be registered on the team before the competion entry date ends, which is on the 28/05/2009, so the competition can start on the 06/06/2009. I WILL need to Know all Players within the Team, as this will give me a clear picture on who the best and worst seeds are in the competition so I can place people with teams fairly.

^^All Games will be played with 5v5 members on each team, if you have 'more' then five, you will have to choose your five best  members to play within the competition.

All Games will be played on 5v5 maps, either with Random Maps or [DT] Whippersnappers new maps, I have checked these out and there isnt no problems with any postions as all postions are the of the same layout...so no asteriod or neutral problems within the maps.

All Games will be recorded to show who is the fair wiiner of the game if any arguments occur....

More rules will be posted once all teams and clans have been entered. Remeber last date for entry is 28/05/2009.

 

So, I AM CALLING ALL CLANS IN SINS OF A SOLAR EMPIRE TO JOIN IN THE LATEST COMPETITION too see who is the best of them all. Can You Beat The Best?

Wow.  Thank you for endorsing my maps, Sunny.  People need to be aware that it's important to actually do a practice online multiplayer with the maps before committing to play in a formal, scheduled match with them since occassionally a couple people get instant minidumps.  (I suspect they aren't putting them in the right folder or have the wrong files in the wrong places.)

I really appreciate all of the support for my maps that I've been receiving from the Sins community since I updated them for the lastest versions of Sins (thank you Harpo) and began promoting them again.  I know that it takes effort and patience on many players' part to improve the game.  I've been encouraged with the the level of interest in my maps and I've made one new map and revamped some others, especially Red Crush, the 5v5 map, which needed improvement.

I'll soon release a pack containing:

(Brilliant) Diamond -- a brand new 8 player map in three flavors: 4v4 with groups of two allies separated from each other across the map (far), 4v4 with all four allies together (leaving two with single flanks and two without any flanks -- near), and one for 2v2v2v2.

Red Crush-2 (5v5)

A version of Asteroid Belt (3v3) with more neutrals and 4v4 and 5v5 versions.

I might also do 4v4 and 5v5 versions for Gateway to Paradise since it's been requested.

Tragically, it is much easier to call for a tournament than it is to find a Sins clan that can actually produce 5 members on demand at a scheduled time.  The Sins multiplayer community is small and casual.  The only reason BIA and DT get so much recognition is because they have enough persistent hardcore players to not have disappeared after a month.
