25 hours of other people's kids...

The family I nanny for once in a while, went out for thier anniversery this weekend. I spent Sunday at 9 am to Monday at 10am watching the 3 kids....

I am wiped out!

They have a 2 year old, a 5 year old and an 8 year old, all full of energy! We spent a busy Sunday, playing games and such. The 2 year old who ussually takes a 3 hour nap took only an hour long one. So She was a little cranky.

It was interesting bringing 3 kids to target and grocery shopping, a very good practice of balance and time managment!

Then Jaysen and I brought them to an all you can eat buffet for dinner..... Wow, it is so much easier to feed kids at home!

By the time I got all three to bed,(after 8 books, and 3 chapters of another book) I was ready to collapse.

Of course I woke up at 4 am, because I have to pee 100 times a day!

Then at 4:45 am, I hear in a soft crying voice...... "Joooo Lyyyynnndddaaa".........

The eight year old missed her mom and dad..... so I made the mistake of letting her crawl into bed, thinking she would fall back asleep.... oh no, this is the girl who never stops talking...

So for the next hour, I heard stories about her old house, her best friends when she was four, when she lost her first tooth and on and on..

Finally at 6 am I was losing my mind with sleep deprivation. I told her she could turn on the tv and watch cartoons in the room I was sleeping in. Luckily she fell back asleep, but it seemed like the 7 am alarm was only a minute after I fell asleep...

Getting 3 kids ready for school and daycare is quite the challange. I am impressed with all you parents out there!

At least it is good practice!

Whoa talk about being thrown in the deep end head first!!!

Most parents have years to perfect their routines etc - 2, 5 and 8 - Yikes

Sounds like you did a great job Joey

Oy! You had your hands full! Congrats on making it through that one without the experience of one first, then two, then three.

It was quite the experience, I have watched these 3 girls for almost 2 years, but the nightime throws in new curves, learning to sleep with one listening ear, explains all the tire looking moms and dads out there!

Tex~ Tired very tired.... Of course the 2 older girls wanted their hair frnch braided for school, so I had a busy morning... I will be turning in early.
