Demigod: Pillar of Divinity

Across a distant land, a powerful clergy formed. Not so much forming around any one diety or ideal, this group preached general tolerance and belief in the goodness of all, while quietly amassing power for themselves and taking over larger and larger areas. Unlike most, they could never produce their divinities, but could provide increasingly powerful demonstrations of miracles as the years went by, powers they said where granted by their nebulous god.

Although founded by good intentions, this seat of power inevitably attracted those only looking for their own comfort, and as this group's power waxed, it's morality waned. The average perisher still believed in the teachings of goodness, but the new upper class was drawn to greater and greater depravities in the shadows.

One day, a tall warior, covered in armor, strode unafraid into the largest church. Asked of his identity, he stated that it was only important that he was the chosen Champion of the one they chose as their god, and proclaimed that thier god has cast them out for the misuse of their power.

None of the priest's amulets or protection worked from that day, and none of their warriors where able to subdue this champion. The entire body of priests came togther upon him, and a great pillar of light rose, and smote them all down. From that day fourth, the Pillar of Divinity reigned unopposed.

Dawn of victory would definately need a higher mp/s. Too easy to just leave it at level 1 w/ a vlemish face guard, and then be invincible for all time, and eventually level it up when / if you get more mps.

Also, you could use this w/ devotion of the champion (to make it practical) for unstoppable damage essentially, like an oak last stand suiciding on buildings.

The idea being a General who's actually dependant on it's minion(s). Having one strong one would make this easier to control, since everyone else only needs to pay attention to one guy, possibly excepting QoT.

Well I kinda meant unhealable including passive mp boosts, although if you spammed max mp items... characters with attack boosts would probably tear through your one guy fast, or just ignore you and flag cap, since the champion can't.

?

EDIT: Darn this forum for not supporting quotes from multiple people.

Well it's not like I realistically expect the people who make the game to see these, let alone use any of these ideas; I just have fun doing stuff like this. :P

Oh, I do... but got to hit the iron when the inspiration strikes, right? :P Plus the chances of me becoming a game designer seem slim, so on the off chance someone can apply my ideas to this game or another, better then them sitting in my head to rot, right?
