Out of curiosity, regarding Game Ranger's technology

Do they guys at SD/GPG know what technology they are using to establish connections because as far as I can tell it appears pretty air tight.

 

Is there any chance of some sort of collaboration to perhaps integrate this technology with impule/impulse reactor?

 

It seems like it would make things extremely more smooth.

gameranger dont do the matchmaking... there is only made a connection to one computer in the game as i understand, who will keep a track of rankings and favor points.
lot of the resources being used by the nat servers are this matchmaking for pantheon.
all in all i think when the connections are perfect we have something better than gameranger.

 

not just saying this because my connection works, for the last 3 days i have not been able to connect to the nat server but know it will be fixed soon :)

Correct but the problem is people actually connecting to each other, not the matchmaking portion......

 

It would be nice if you can integrate something like that if not into the custom games but maybe your friends list so you can set up a game and just invite people directly into your game? I dunno... just kind of thinking out loud.
