The game doesn't play sounds with SteelSeries USB Sound Card

Hello guys!

I just got the game recently and I got a big problem to play it. Everything works fine but the sound isn't working at all. I can play it but with no sounds.

I tried to reinstall it but it didn't work. I just discovered that the problem was in the sound card I use (SteelSeries USB Sound Card). It is working well with all programs of my computer, except Demigod. I tested to play the game with the on board sound card (Realtek) and the sound worked perfectly. I could stay playing with my on board card but its sound's quality is much worse. I really want to find out how to play the sounds with my own SCard. I think the problem is some kind of incompatibility between the card and the game.

I also don't know if the problem is with my specific card or if it is happening with other off board cards too. Did anyone get any problem similar? Is there anyone out there that knows a solution?

Do you use the USB sound with other games, or just normal windows apps?

Works fine for my Steelseries USB soundcard. I faintly remembering I had to tweak something. Oh right;

start

control panel

sound

right click 'digital output 2-usb pnp sound device'

set as default device

Thar you go hope it works for you as it works for me. CHEERS rock on steelseries headsets. :)

My usb sound device is the default of the system and the sound still doesn't work. =[

I use my USB device with all the games I play and it works fine.

No help from support, problem just being ignored. Demigod is the only program that has a problem. Both Supreme Commander (GPG) and Sins of the Solar Empire work fine. All the drivers are up to date. My device is set up as a default. Tried removing and reinstalling both drivers and Demigod.

Seems mriguy that you're right about support totally ignoring this problem.

To Devs/Support/Publisher :  You could at least come and say you're aware of it even if you do not plan to do anything for it. This is utterly a shame from all of you... I hope you will try to be better than Microsoft utter noobish support... Hope keep us alive at least...
