Major Graphical Glitches

I can get Demigod to load up and run, I can even make a single player game and it it started. The game starts up and runs but... the graphics are all kinds of messed up. First off, my demigod is either not fully rendered, or only has a few pieces of them showing. Second, the game lags like all heck! The more guys on screen the laggier it gets. THird, fog of war is messed up, just shows grey blobs on the floor rather then the fog.

I have put hte settings as low as they can go, no chane, as high as they can go, gets a bit laggier but no improvement. I have messed around with them for hours now and I can't seem to get the game to run properly.. I also turned my sound to low qualty and reverb off. I turned the sound options all the way off and still I get horrible graphics and bad lag.

My comp specs are this:

I have 2 gig RAM
3.4GHZ processor
Radeon X850 series graphics card with 256mb memory (60Hz)
Direct X 9.0
and over 60 free gigs of harddrive space.

 

Please someone help! I really want to play this game!

Sorry, but Radeon x850 cards do not meet the game's minimum requirements; the game requires Shader Model 3 support, which ATI didn't add until the x1000 series.

..... dammit.... >< I really wish they would stop going crazy with graphics, I was hoping to get another year out of that card before I had to upgrade. *sighs*

that said; $700USD should net you a very respectable gaming computer on a tight budget.

something along the lines of;

  • CPU: Phenom II X3 730,
  • GPU: HD4830,
  • Mobo: anything with a 790GX chipset,
  • RAM: the cheapest 4GB of DDR2-1066 RAM you can find.
