German Installation

Hi,

I "accidently" updated to the latest Beta. That update removed character voices and did the menu language to english. Before this update I had character voices in german and menu was german too.

 

Well, until now i reinstalled Impulse 2 times, tried some Registryfix from another thread, resetted al Impulsedata and until now I can only install the game in english and russian ... german is not possible.

 

How can I install the game again in german?

this is stored in the game.prefs in the my documents/my games/gas powered games/demigod

Then open this file with notepad, search for the following line "options_overrides = {" and add this "language = 'DE'," right under it.

Probably some other thing is needed to reset the voices back.

This could be done because the language lua files needs to be updated. (but maybe there was another reason)

Well I forgot, I uninstalled the game and deleted this directory too .. In my opinion the file has nothing to do with the installation at all.

 

jfyi: for a switch of the game language, you have to download the whole game again, and that is 1,88GB+. 1,88 for english, something above 2GB for another language.

Gabberkooij is right. You can set all captions back to german (or any other language) via this entry in the "game.prefs" file. But I think you´ll have to redownload the voices, because they seemed to be overwritten.

Whole game, captions doesn't interest me as well as the custom captions missing some translation strings. Since you seem to be the releaser, get WinMerge an compare yourself.

Redownload the voices? WHERE?!?! As I said before, to change the language of the game(not only the captions), you have to reinstall it completely and I don't install english now, just to redownloading 2GB again later, if this issue is fixed.

 

I bought this game digitally, and I was able to install it completely in german. Right Click -> Install -> Accept Eula -> Choose German -> Install ... Well Currently "Choose German" isn't available. You can try it yourself. Only English and Russian are available. English sounds sucking, especially this shitty commentator, I just want my german ones back.

Other languages have been disabled during the update process; there is no current ETA for when they will be available again.
