We haven’t had a community contest in a while, so in thinking about a new idea I realized that This Week in Skinning has been going on for well over two years now.  I also realized that I have no cool icon to show it off with, so what a perfect coincidence!

So for this contest I’m looking for an icon that best represents This Week in Skinning.  Icon must have a 128px and a 256px version that will be used in news postings and promotional content.  Other than that, the design is totally up to you.  We will run the contest until Friday, May 22nd, and announce the winning entry the following week.

You can enter by either posting to this thread, or submitting the icon to the ObjectDock gallery, it just needs to have TWiS in the title.

Prize will be a choice of WC sub/renewal, or Object Desktop standard.

I think a calender with a full month on it.. as opposed to a specific date.. would look better. Having one date would be awkward on any other date than the one in the icon. My 2c, they all look great regardless. :)

I'm not enough of an artist to make my idea look any good, so I'll just write it here.. Consider the idea "public domain", so if you like it, just draw it and enter the contest. If you use the idea, consider giving me a dash of karma. :P

I'd make a winky that pulls down a zipper on the front of his own skin, revealing a t-shirt with the text "TWiS" printed on it underneath. Just for kicks his skin underneath could be leopard. ;)

I haven't problem with pink color. :) It's doesn't meaning of nothing, I choose this color because, I was looking for some different.

I like the last two  .. its a toss up. Lib or Mirs. Altho I'd lose the beveling on the numbers in the calender.

 

Nothing wrong with pink either.. My grandma had pink hair for a while.

I like that last one too... perhaps a little too much black, I dunno... I'm losing it.. having issues on my current skin and cant think straight... don't ever try to do a full trans skin. WB Vista just cant handle it.
