[DT]Whippersnapper's (aka DirtySanchez's) Clan Match Quality custom maps

Updated to work with Sins 1.16 and Entrenchment 1.02

Thanks to Harpo and his Map Updater utility, I have just updated all of my maps so that they work with Sins v.1.16 and Entrenchment v1.02, at least that's what I hope.  My understanding of the situation is that from now on, maps need to be put into the Application Data Galaxy Forge folder and if not, then a manifest file listing your maps needs to be updated.  (Just put them in the Galaxy Forge folder.)

Now, if everyone--if all clan type players who take the game seriously and who are willing to put a little effort into improving the game--would download the map pack and follow the easy installation instructions--perhaps we could begin to play custom maps online.

Asteroid Belt and Gateway to Paradise were very well-received and now they're back!

Hopefully this will work.  You can find the maps here:

http://files.filefront.com/13679379

All we need now is an auto-download feature for custom maps.

Maps are:

3v3 Asteroid Belt

3v3 Gateway to Paradise

3v3 Ring of Risk

5v5 Red Crush

Asteroid Belt 1v1

Asteroid Belt 2v2

We should probably withhold praise and admiration until we actually see these custom maps work online in Sins 1.16 and Entrenchment 1.02.  They worked fine for me in single player Entrenchment, so hopefully that's a good sign.  One of the big problems with doing custom maps online, before, was that sometimes people would download them or get them via e-mail from me, put them in the right places, and then they still couldn't join the game.  It might have been a Vista thing.  Hopefully Ironclad has fixed this with the newly-created Galaxy Forge folder in the Applications Data folder.

A guy named Harpo (see the Modding forum) deserves a ton of credit for this since he made a program that converts over older Sins maps.

Ah, DirtySanchez, I could not play for an hour for laughing so much when I saw his name in ICO.

I still maintain I would like to see a way for Impulse to make maps/map packs available (since the devs have stated the Sins engine cannot do it)

Dirty Sanchez rides again!

For a good time, go to www.CafePress.com and do a search for "dirty sanchez" and browse over all of the funny t-shirt designs.

I think that would be a great idea--if Stardock would make optional custom map bonus packs available for people on Impulse (with the maps to end up in the proper Galaxy Forge folders, of course).  I have a hard time understanding why they wouldn't want to do that.
