Complete System Crash (Random)

Hey fellow DG'ers,

              I come to the community with an issue I hope Im not the only one having. Long story short, DG will cause my computer to go completely black allowing me only a hard shut down. I suspected heat, as Im on a Gateway P7811FX, but after a few test, never broke 60c. I have used various resolutions, /nosound, fidelity low with reverb off, windowed mode, updated drivers. This happens during any online game setting and even offline during single player. Some days I can get through 2 games before this happens. Other days it happens 15 minutes into my first game. It's frequency has stepped up since the last patch. Performance does not suffer before a crash....I pull 40-50 frames consistantly. I've never had this issue with WOW, Warhammer, DOTA, Sins of a Solar Empire, etc. This seems isolated to DemiGod. I spend more time troubleshooting than I do playing, and being happily married with 3 kids, my gaming time is rather precious and very finite ;p. Not sure where to go after this, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It wouldn't hurt to update your audio and video drivers to the newest available.  If you continue to have issues, drop us an email at [email protected] , and we'll get more info from you to see if we can provide a solution.

If there are drivers for your monitor you may want to install those as Vista doesn't always handle the generic monitor driver well.

If you have any anti-virus programs, exclude the Demigod folder from it as A/V software actively scanning a game's folder can cause performance issues.  Since it's happening during multiplayer, it could also be caused by an internet security program.  You could try making an exception for Demigod in any internet security program that you have and see if that clears up the problem.
