Help with favor items?

Hello,

I dislike the possibility of playing against someone who starts with a favor item I don't have access to.  I'm not going to spend days sitting around the house playing against the computer to build up favor.  What I'd like to do is simply "give myself favor" so as to level the playing field with online multiplayer.  I've heard this is possible to do by modifying some game file.  However, I haven't been able to locate the file on my own.  I looked for posts on this topic but was unable to find anything.

Does anyone know the file to edit, and the edits to be made?

So you want to exploit, the same thing you bitch about? Why do we need another thread on this again? Because everyone thought you were a dillweed and told you as much so you're taking your toys and going home yet again. Must be fun sucking at every single thing in life. If you're this afraid of adversity its clear you've gotten no where.

My documents/my games/Gas Powered Games/Demigod/

Look for file called "Game" it's a PREFS file.

Open with notepad and click the edit tab, choose find and put in "Points"

It should read "Points = xxxx,"

Edit x to points you want save and go into game.

LOL, I don't really give a flying rat's ass who he "reports," or for what reason.  In fact I find it funny that, to get away from the flamers who were polluting my original post, I make a new one, and then have one of those flamers follow me to the new post and then "report" me to boot!  LMFAO!  Reminds me of the kid in grade school everybody hated who would always "report" you for this or that while the teacher was out of the room, LOL!

At any rate, back on topic.  I tried the "solution" to the problem but it didn't work.  I suppose I'll just put the game down for a while until the fixes have a chance to roll out.

\My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod\Game.prefs

open it in wordpad and find

"Points = -1150,"

change it to 9999

save

start demigod

host lan game

exit lan game

play online.

 

Do not restart Demigod or the game.prefs file may be rewritten again.

You could set the file to read-only in order to always have your 9999 favor at the start of each game, however none of your achievements,picked favor items or anything else would save.

I thought modifying favor points like that is for single player only?

it also works in custom games and skirmish , Pantheon may be a different case though.
