I'm trying to figure out why my ships are limited to only 5 movement. I know its probably somethin simple, i'm overlooking. i design my ships to move 20 parasecs, but after they are built, they are reduced to 5. Anyhelp or suggestions would be appreciated.
There is an event that limits all ships in the galaxy to a speed of 5. sure you havent had this event and not realized what it did, or forgot you had it?
I'd say this is your culprit.
And the followup answer to "what can I do about it?", not too much unless you have a save prior to the event. This isn't a UP proposal that is easilly circumvented by leaving the UP.
On the bright side, I don't think the AI is smart enough to take the event into consideration. So they may still put engines on their ships, where weapons/defenses could instead be placed.
