Retrieving folders once removed from the dock

I recently downloaded this dock and I love it. But my girlfriend instead of putting her folders into her documents, put the folders directly onto the dock on her login. We'll she accidently removed one from the dock, and another folder wont work. Is there any way to recover these folders? I tried system restore but that doesn't work for regular files, and its not in the trash bin. If this is in the wrong board, I apologize, thanks!
