How do i get the network icons working for the connection of the modem if its on or off? Like i said i am new to this first vista os and I LUV IT! lol besides the headaches i am getting.... 
or do i have to upgrade it first from what i can tell though but will wait until someone replies
The internet icon should open your browser...and connect to the net. No special icon for the modem...why would you need it (just out of curiosity) and Welcome to WinCustomize.

well i got that part its the network problem....i want the task bar hidden cause its annoying, but the problem is i cant tell if my network connection is connected or not... i am in the philippines and the connection is very erratic due to the fact that i am used to faster connection... from california originally, and i am not the biggest fan of the it OD changed that for me real fast (all i did was just put a icon for it and used a widget to hide the original desktop shortcut, copied another shortcut and put it on the od x.x) that was a mouth full...gah
