Serial Number Not Working...

WTH!?

Everytime I try to register with my serial number, this pops up...

So wtf!? Honestly, this is like the 30th time I've tried to type this in and I am just about at the point of being ready to give up with this game.

I think something similar happened to me in the dys of stardock central, did you check that email on the service you use to pay is the same as the one you registered your account with. What i mean is if in your billing information you put one email or the paypal account you use has another emails that can cause trouble cause the game locks with the email of the owner of the credit card.

This is a retail purchase from the store today. Only one eMail address has been entered in during registration and already confirmed via eMail.  It just keeps giving this error everytime I try and submit this serial number.  I've tried my serial without dashes (definately doesn't work) and in all lowercase as well, which did not help either.

Give this a try:

Click on teh ? in the upper right.

Select the Lookup option

Enter the email you used to buy the game

check your email

Click on the ? again and choose the register option

Fill in the info

 

If that all fails, email [email protected]

I did the lookup. Removed some of the info, but the eMail, Password, and User Name are all correct. Should the serial number be listing "Impulse Build:"??  Anyways, I still have not received word back from Stardock support about this problem.

I had the problem of getting an invalid cd key,  I wasnt putting the dashes in between number groups.  Once I put those in it accepted the key, all caps too.  But that was just me.

     Ok am i way off here or is the "serial number" also called the "PC DEMIGOD CODE STICKER" and found on a sticker on the back of the manual?  If thats it im having problems.  After i type it in the "NEXT" box is still greyed out.  Do i have the wrong number?  There is no number on my dvd that i can find.

That is the correct number. It should contain a-f and 0-9 only. If it is not being accepted, please contact [email protected].

Just a shot in the dark, but did you include the dashes between the numbers?  I failed on my first 5 attempts, thinking i was just entering the number wrong.  But when I tried it with the dashes, vwalla.  Dont mean to insinuate that you hadnt tried that yet, but was a little annoyed that it failed to validate without the dashes, and there was no notice/text telling me they needed to be included.  Anyway, hope you got it working by now!

Yes, the serial is the sticker "PC DEMIGOD CODE STICKER" on the back of the game manual.  Yes, I included dashes.  I put in the serial exactly as displayed.  Just received a response from Stardock on the issue.

There have been some reports of duplicate serial numbers.

Can you please provide a scan or digital image of the following items (as many as possible):

-the game box
-the game disc
-the inside of the game disc case
-the back of the game manual
-a receipt for the game

There were some server issues with the heavy load we were experiencing. This affected Impulse and our forums as well.

Well, after contacting Stardock support, I was issued a new serial number and can now log into Impulse!! So looks like this has been resolved.  Thanks Stardock for the support. Wish it woulda worked outta the box so I could played some online multiplayer yesterday, but it is good to receive a response and have this resolved in under 24 hours.
