Pantheon match making question

First off i only discoverd Demigod a few days ago and am very excited about the release as it seems like a most excellent game.

I have been trolling through a plethora of forum posts to fill my hunger for this game, after all that i have just one worry/question.

It seems to be that the pantheon automatically finds/joins games for you, and that to get a faster connection demigod is using a new type of connectivity (peer-peer stuff) as latency is an important factor.

My question/problem is that I live in Australia and if I connect to an american game the best connection i'm gonna get is 300~ms latency. Will the match making system match me with other aussie's or am i just screwed?
