Will there be Hotkeys?

There probably are, but I just want to make sure.. would be silly if there weren't.

for example, if I select my demigod and hit "CTRL+1" will 1 be assigned to my demigod?

As assassin you're Demigod is selected all the time. For generals are a few commands available with keys. I don't think there is a need to create groups like you do in RTS's.

Lot of keys can be reassigned to you're own wish. Never missed the CTRL+<number> one.

Playing with generals, you´ll have some hotkeys for your minions (like selecting all (minions & Demigod), selecting only minions etc.)

And there are of course hotkeys for your spells. Currently the numbers "1" till "4" are assigned to your spells, the F1 to F3 keys are assigned to your usable equipment and F4 is reserved for your favor item.
