Fences / startup

Dear people at Stardock and the forums.

I installed the beta version of Fences and I like it a lot. I have however a "problem"

I set Fences to autostart when I log in. What happens, however, is that the icons that are on the desktop and would later go in the fences appear on the Desktop as normal icons. Then, when fences starts, they all appear inside the correct fences and all is fine. This looks quite bad. I would prefer the icons not to appear at all.

So my question / suggestion is: is there a way to have fences:

1) Start earlier than the desktop so that when icons appear they are already in the fences.

2) Start later but not show normal icons on the folders before they end up in the fences.

I am looking forward to hear people's opinions and suggestions.

Hey Valerio! Depends if you have XP or Vista, because Vista boots differently: LINK

For XP LINK

You can get a free boot sequence manager HERE but you'll have to play around with it...let us know what's happening, ok?

Here (on XP) there is no 'two-step' - the fences with icons in them appear on the desktop right after the taskbar.  No special settings or 'sequence manager' being used.  I have other issues with Fences, but not that one.

Not that this helps, but I don't think what you're seeing is 'as intended'.  It is still in beta, however, and your information is good feedback for the devs.
