New to the game and am looknig for information on how to start mining. I've tried to send constructers to anomallies, but there is no option to build a mining starbase.
I have just played since last Friday so I am no expert.
I send my flag ship to the anomalies and collect money, economic bonuses or what not.
I send my mining ships to asteroids and they automatically build mining bases.
I could be wrong about this but it looks like constructors build only and upgrade starbases.
I bet some of the vets here could give a lot better advice than this!

Your flagship is what you need to use anomalies. You can build other survey ships later, but at the beginning only your flagship can use them.
For asteroids, you start with an asteroid miner, and can build new ones from the start. These boost production on whatever planet is on the receiving end of their output.
The resource points found randomly around the galaxy are what you build mining starbases on. Send a constructor ship to these, then additional constructor ships to add additional modules on the base.
