System requirements

Hello everyone!

Yeah, I know. Alot of people ask the same question. But I can´t figure out wether or not my system will be able to run the game. I have a P4 3,0 GHz with 512 MB of RAM and a grafic card of 128 MB (at least i think it is, the name of the grafic card is ATI Radeon X 300).

I´m not shure if the graphic card i enough. I can run Sins of a solar empire without any problem and i think the graphic card required there exeeds mine.

Well thanks in advance for any help

No, your computer will not run this game well.  You'll need a better graphics card.  Your cpu and memory is on the borderline minumum so it's not worth upgrading your videocard to play this game.

Well, will it run at all? I mean if I run the game on the lowes quality?

I wouldn't place bets on it. We had initially planned to support cards/chipsets that did not have Shader Model 3, but I believe that did not end up happening. As the x300 is both quite weak and only has SM2 support, it's not likely able to run the game. Any beta testers with SM2 cards feel free to correct me, as I don't have any myself with which to confirm the current state.

I think they said somewhere that it doesn't work with integrated intel cards.

I run it on Mobile Intel 965 Express integrated card.  Works fine on low settings.  So it works.  Just not supported.

Minimum:

  • Windows XP SP3 / Vista SP1
  • 2.4 GHz Processor
  • 512 MB Available System Memory
  • 8 GB Available Hard Drive Space
  • 128 MB 3D Video Card (ATI Radeon X1600 / Nvidia GeForce 6800 or better)*
  • Sound Card
  • Broadband Internet Connection for Multiplayer
  • Stardock's Impulse Required for Updates/Digital Download
  • * Intel integrated chipsets are not supported.

Rovier: A graphics upgrade woule be the best thing you could do to get the game working, and more menory wouldn't hurt.

I would argue that LOW settings are not fine ;P .  It may work (Great if it does) but it's obviously not the ideal experience, and is not supported.

The 965 is the first Intel chipset with SM3 support, but it's still pretty weak.

So there is no way for a computer with only SM2 to run demi-gods? As I have a radeon X1200 graphics card but it only has SM2 support. Or should I consider trying to overclock it?

No. They changed the Requirements to the lowest SM3 Cards. So you wont be able to run it with a SM2 Card.
My Radeon X850XT (2.0) is one of the best SM2 Cards, better that the 1600 and the GF6800. But I can't play Demigod.

But in the following Thread I posted my problem some time ago.
