Buying Demigod in Australia

I've been trying to follow the progress of demigod for months now over here in Australia, ever since I heard about it, and waiting anxiously for that clock on the front page to count down to 0 so I could go get the game. 

Today however I went into an EB on my way past and discovered they finally have the release date for demigod in their computers, the problem is its listed as the 7th of May. As luck would have it, I have some leave from work I'm due to take around the april 14 release date and was thinking how great it would be to grab this game on my time off and get stuck into it, so clearly the EB release date here in Aus simply isn't preferable.

So I'm wondering, am I able to buy Demigod through Stardock here in Aus on the April 14 release date and will it work here?  Or is it being restricted for purchase to Aus customers until May 7th due to ludicrous publishing agreements with EB here?

if you buy it online you will get it on april 14th I think , pretty sure of it.

If you buy direct you will be able to download it on the US release day; a download copy is identical to a patched-up retail copy.

If there is a release delay, it'd be up to Atari as they're doing all of the overseas publishing/distribution.

Appreciate the quick response but that doesn't entirely answer my question though, you're saying I can download it on that day, but will I actually be able to play it that day or is there some form of regional locking or such that would stop me being able to play until May 7th?

I also am from Australia Franger, and I pre-ordered the Digital/Retail combo. Here's hoping we can Download and play the game the following Tuesday the 14th.

Quick question to Zubaz , do we have any ballpark figure as to the size of the download?

My Impulse digital download says it's about 2.65GB.  So somewhere around there.
