Banned because I never really understood why people celebrate the new year so intensely. Its like: "Woo-Hoo!!! My calendar now says 2011 instead of 2010!!!!!!! :D Isnt that awesome?!?!?"

How very true. Orbital-mechanics-wise, there isn't even anything special about the Dec. 31 spot...

But this is the only time of the year I can get away with staying up until 12:00 in my own house, so I guess there is reason to celebrate.
