Preventing WindowBlinds skinning..

We have had a bug reported to us about a game of ours that crashes if WindowBlinds is used. Disabling windowblinds causes the game to remain stable.

Is there anything we can do to prevent our game being skinned by windowblinds from our end, thus allowing everyone to enjoy our game without having to explicitly set it as an exclusion?

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Threee things to resolve:

  1. Hold down the control key while launching
  2. In the WB config, exclude the app
  3. Email [email protected] so they can pass the info to the devs

The name of the game might help too.

option 1. will keep WB from skinning the game when it launches

option 2. once set they're done - it will only exclude those programs set within (and if they're using WB they should know about excluding per apps)

option 3. maybe the devs can work in an auto exclusion for future updated/versions

Thanks for the responses, I've contacted support and I'm awaiting a reply.

I'm aware of the ways in which the user can turn off windowblinds per application, but we really want a way that takes the user out of the equation, so everything just works from the get-go.

Would be nice if it was possible for us developers to have a flag on an executable that windowblinds can read and use as a 'do-not-skin' flag so end users have the most stable experience.

Hopefully we can be added to the default exclude list to avoid any future issues.

Again, thanks for the responses,
