Save File Problems

I had an older version of Sins of Solar Empire installed. Games were saved.

I uninstalled the old version. I REINSTALLED Sins of Solar empire using Impulse

I deleted all the save games from within the game itself (UI).

I started a new game, did auto saves, did a full save before closing game.

I went to load my game...the saved game as well as autosaves all say 'Invalid Save File'. What can I do to remedy this?

Saves from old versions are not compatible with newer ones, unfortunately.
