New Purchase & Install --> Icons Not Displaying

Today (3/12/2009) I purchased and installed The Object Desktop package (all program versions are current releases). 

Now many program icons are not displaying throughout my system -- in program directories, the quick launch toolbar, the program lists in the start menu -- my system is displaying a blank default document icon instead of the programs' icons.  Does anyone know why this is happening? 

I haven't changed any Object Desktop settings, this is what it defaulted to.  I am very disappointed by this.  Suggestions would be appreciated.  I am running vista64 on an hp pavilion dv7 laptop.
