is it possible to transfer ship components from ultimate edition to Gal Civ II 1.xxx

I've purchased and played both versions of the games and like the simplicity of the GalCiv II 1.xx and some of the ship components in Ultimate edition - is there a way to transfer the ship components to the earlier version? Any help woudl be appreciated - new to program mods. Thanks.
